For a long while, the Grand Massif was the training ground of Antoine Dénériaz, the downhill skiing champion at the Turin Olympics crowned on February 12, 2006.
Samoëns also has a 90 km Nordic skiing area for those who love cross-country skiing. For their part, fans of wide open spaces can enjoy dog sledding or snowshoeing to discover the magnificent landscapes and well preserved natural environment.
